Small change in dispatch system

Postby MTN001 » Tue Dec 04, 2012 7:16 pm

A small but important change in the dispatch system was implemented this evening. When searching dispatch, all flights in the database will be available for dispatch. We're no longer tracking where each plane is currently sitting, so you won't be disappointed when you wanted to originate a flight in Las Vegas and no planes were there.

Now that we have implemented this change, small as it may be. The "Flight Search" function of the database is now obsolete. http://www.mountain-air.org//db/pilots/searchflight.php I'm not sure if everyone will like this new style dispatch; although tracking planes was tedius it was unique.

Well, there's more to come. It'll probably be worth it :)

I'm not quite sure why you think the search flight is obsolete. It will probably still be necessary and will stay. However, the "Dispatch flight" section IS obsolete and will go away soon.

Ah, just saw the newest update. I think I see the bigger picture and retract my last statement. All the new work to the site is wonderful. :D
